Worship, Serve, Grow is how we live out our vision of LOVE•unlimited

Worship God

To worship is to be fully engaged in a saving relationship with God through Christ Jesus.

John 4:24; Romans 12:1

Serve Him with our lives

To serve is to willingly place your life, your time, your talents, and your resources in the hands of God for His good purposes.

John 13:12-17

Grow as followers of Jesus Christ

To grow is to take on the life-long position as a disciple of Jesus Christ for the purpose of becoming more like Him.

OUR CORE VALUES

Every local church operates by a set of intrinsic values that govern its behavior.  The following are the values that we hold as key to our approach as a church:

  1. Biblical Authority

    John 1:1, 4, 18; 14:26; 2 Timothy 3:16-17

  2. Spiritual Maturity

    Mark 1:35; Ephesians 6:18; 1 John 1:8-9; Matthew 11:28-30

  3. Caring Relationships

    Romans 12:9-16; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

  4. Intentional Evangelism

    Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15

  5. Faithful Stewardship

    Matthew 6:19-34; Deuteronomy 8:17-20; Proverbs 3:9-10 Philippians 4:19

OUR BELIEFS

GOD:  We believe there is One God, the creator of the universe who eternally exists in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 20; John 14:26)

JESUS:  We believe that Jesus is God’s one and only Son, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, voluntarily died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven and will return to earth to establish eternity. (John 1:1-18; Philippians 2:1-11)

HOLY SPIRIT:  We believe that the Holy Spirit is active, providing power for the Christian to overcome sin, serve Christ, give insight into the Bible and provide direction for life. (Luke 11:13; John 16:13; Acts 1:8)

SALVATION:  We believe that the human being is eternal and will live forever after death. Those who die and are separated from God will be cast from His presence for all eternity. Those who are saved will be with God for all eternity. 

To be saved, one believes in Jesus as Savior, repents of sin and then responds by being baptized (by immersion). (John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 3:23 and 10:9; Galatians 3:27)

THE CHURCH:  We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth that exists to worship God, serve Him with our lives and to grow as followers of Jesus Christ. Third City Christian Church is affiliated with over 6000 similar non-denominational churches that combine our efforts to reach the lost in the name of Jesus. (Matthew 16:18)
